Healthy body personified

At 73 years of age Shepherd is in better shape than most people decades her junior. Her body does not reflect her age at all.

It’s all about investing in your body by what you eat and staying active. It all comes down to choices we make every day concerning our bodies and health.

“I feel better than I did at 40,” she said... and we can all see why.

She is in the Guinness Book of World Records’ oldest female bodybuilder. 

Why not take try and break your own record each day? By the end of the year you will have a few personal records under your name.

We all know that in most cases what you put in is what get out. It's all about transfer of energy. So why not start being kinder to your body because it's the only one you have.

Choices and change

Healthy365 is a space where you'll find updates, tips on our daily battles with maintaining a healthy lifestyle 365 days a year. For me this is an on going journey that requires commitment and consistency. Most importantly is the ability to bounce back when you have fallen off the wagon. 

It's all about choices... Choosing the right food, choosing to workout, choosing to drink less alcohol and choosing to drink more water, etc. 

Remember what you put in is what you get out. This does not mean you must deprive yourself of some of the best things life offers. It just means your relationship with food changes for the better. You make better food choices and have everything in moderation. 

Another important aspect about a healthy you 365 days a year is working out. Now we are different as people and as a result different types of exercises will work for different people.

Find an workout regime that works for you and stick to it. I love running and it never feels like a workout for me. Chasing tar is the most fulfilling thing for me. It's my thing, it keeps me youthful.
