Life is more fun when you move!

So this morning as I was running I remembered a campaign Virgin Active once ran –"life is more fun when you move". I must admit, I totally agree with that statement and these are my reasons:

Exercise combats health disease and improves your health condition
Exercise boost  your energy levels
Exercise improves your mood
Exercise controls your weight
Exercise promotes better sleep
Exercise puts the spark back into your sex life... TRUE STORY! 
Exercise can be fun. 

So why not find an exercise regime that works for you and make it a part of your routine so you can start havin fun?

Valentine’s Day chocolate

So today was one of those special days where most people celebrated love and enjoyed all the little pleasures that this day comes with. Lunch and dinner dates were the order of the day and in between that were more chocolate than we need. 

I must admit, I over indulged today. But it’s not the end of the world because healthy living is not about depriving yourself of life’s little pleasures. You just need to know how to deal with the sins committed. Maybe hitting the gym first thing tomorrow morning, going for that morning run or a brisk walk may just be exactly what you need.

Who knows? You might enjoy it so much that it becomes part of your routine ;).

So this sinner will be running 15kms tomorrow morning before work. Maybe you can walk 2km or attend that aerobic class... whatever works for you my friends :-).

An 8 hour day at the office can get a bit stressful at times and drive us to the vending machine with all the unhealthy snacks. How about planning for those moments ahead? 

These healthy snacks offer us the comfort we all need from a stressful day or surviving that extra hour you may need to put in at the office. Pack these to work and you will be guaranteed a healthy and nutritious snack.

Chose to have breakfast everyday

It may be a cliché but it’s absolutely true. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So make sure you eat a nutritious breakfast every day. This way you will kick start your metabolism and avoid unhealthy snacking. Your will power on walking past that vending machine will improve J.  

Your metabolism will not work for you if you don’t provide it with the required fuel. A nutritious breakfast does not equal cereal only… keep it exciting and have different types of food every day.This way you will look forward to your breakfast meal.
